Another Car Full of Teens – 1 Dead, 1 Serious (DE)

Around 3:40pm, on Thursday, January 9, 2020, a school bus and a car collided on Memorial Drive, near Karlyn Drive, near New Castle, Delaware.

The car contained four high-school girls and tragically the 16-year-old driver was declared dead at the scene. She has since been named as Jordan Tate, a junior at William Penn High School.  (Photograph below, from Instagram.)

The three passengers from the car were all taken to hospital where one was described as serious and the other two stable.  All four girls were 16 and all attended William Penn.

At the time, the school bus was carrying 22 students from Eisenberg Elementary School, none of whom were physically hurt.
