Shortly after 1:30 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Sheriff’s Deputy Kenterrous Taylor, aged 27, was thrown from his cruiser in a crash near the intersection of Forsyth Road and Napier Avenue, Macon, GA.

According to a press release, he was headed to a burglary call on Zebulon Road when he crashed near the Rivoli Crossing Shopping Center, hitting a wall and flipping a couple of times.
Sergeant Linda Howard said that Deputy Taylor’s patrol car was the only vehicle involved.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Taylor was ejected from his cruiser. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bibb County Sheriff David Davis also told reporters: “In this particular case, he was off-duty, and the call came out, and he responded and tragically lost his life.”
Deputy Taylor was sworn in as a deputy with the sheriff’s office one year ago. He was previously an officer at Fort Valley State University Police Department for two years, and has children.
