Crashes are Down by 35 Percent where Speed Limits were Cut to 25mph in Seattle

Here’s more evidence to disprove the many self-serving, nonsensical allegations that reducing speed limits does nothing to improve road safety!

Quote:  “Seattle Dept. of Transportation data suggests on roads where speed limits dropped to 25 mph there was a 35% reduction in crashes.”

This topic has been subjected to much research over many years — research that those against lower speed limits try to ignore or decry.  But the fact is simple:  Even small reductions in average speed on any road do significantly reduce crash risk and casualties…. period!
