MEMORIAL PAGE – NYSP Trooper John J. Cahill – 90 years ago today

This is why, today, we honor the memory of New York State Police Trooper John J. Cahill who was killed exactly 90 years ago, on February 22, 1930, when he lost control of his motorcycle in Albany, NY.

MEMORIAL PAGE – Brandon Sylvester (17), Green Island, NY

Just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020,   a car hit four teenagers who were in the crosswalk on 787 (Cohoes Blvd.) in Green Island.  Brandon Sylvester, 17, was killed and three other teens were hit, with one still in critical condition at Albany Medical Center as of the following Monday afternoon.

Memorial Page – Anna Schroeder plus Victims from U.S. Route 219, NY

A pretty memorial to Anna Schroeder is now the only one visible on U.S. Route 219, between Springville and Ellicottville, Western New York.   But this road has a very grim history.
