Not wearing a seatbelt can result in ejection from the vehicle and a horrendous, pointless death

Since the beginning of 2020 there have been nine fatal incidents on South Dakota highways. Six of these fatalities resulted specifically from people not wearing their seatbelts, and then being ejected out of their cars onto the road or surrounding terrain, where they died…

Currently in South Dakota, not wearing a seatbelt is not a primary offense.  Nor is it state law for adult passengers riding in the back of a vehicle to wear safety belts…

Three Young People Killed in Alabama’s Second Triple Fatality Crash of the Holidays

A crash at 2:30am on New Year’s Day, 2020, left three early-20s people dead and a fourth in hospital.  The incident happened in Elmore County, about five miles east of Wetumpka, on Rifle Range Road near Peace Church Road.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency [ALEA], a 1997 Lexus ES300 that was being driven by Ladarious Antonio Griffin, 25, of Montgomery,  left the road,  struck a tree, and overturned.

Three teenage girls killed in a Christmas Day crash in Alabama

6pm,  25 December, 2019 — Christmas day.  Geneva, Alabama.

Three high school cheerleaders were killed and another girl was hospitalized with critical injuries following a Christmas night wreck in Geneva, south Alabama.  A fifth girl in the vehicle escaped without serious injury.

Of concern to Road Safety USA were some apparently inappropriate comments by law enforcement officers.
