Memorial Page – New York State Trooper Jose A. Rosado (2007)

Trooper Jose A. Rosado was killed in a two-car collision on January 24, 2007, in the town of Southampton, Suffolk County.

While on patrol, Trooper Rosado drove onto black ice, causing him to lose control of his troop car which then slid sideways into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Trooper Rosado, who was 45 years old, was instantly killed instantly.

He entered the New York State Police on September 19, 1988, and was assigned to Troop L, SP Riverside.

“Thirteen years ago, Trooper Jose Rosado was killed while on patrol in the town of Southampton.

“[Today], members of SP Riverside placed a wreath at the memorial outside the station to honor his ultimate sacrifice, [which will never be forgotten].”
